47 David Lilienthal Dr, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661, USACIFSH coordinates and supports the implementation of the Africa Fertilizer and Soil Health Action Plan (2024–2034). Our work includes facilitating collaboration among regional and national partners, strengthening fertilizer and soil-health policies, and supporting capacity building, monitoring, and knowledge sharing across Africa.
You can reach the CIFSH Secretariat through the contact form on this website or by emailing the communications team directly at [email protected]. We are also accessible through our institutional partners — IFDC, IITA, APNI, and FARA.
CIFSH operates across the agriculture, fertilizer, and soil-management sectors, with a focus on improving sustainable fertilizer systems, soil fertility, and agricultural productivity in Africa.
We work with countries, development partners, and private sector actors to translate policy into action. This includes helping coordinate national soil-health programs, aligning regional activities with the continental Action Plan, and monitoring progress to ensure measurable impact.
CIFSH serves as a continental coordination platform that unites diverse partners — from the African Union and ECOWAS to private industry groups like PAFA and OCP. This collaborative structure ensures Africa-led solutions and avoids duplication of efforts across institutions.
CIFSH primarily provides coordination, technical assistance, and knowledge-management support. While not a funding agency, we help partners mobilize resources and align donor support with the Africa Fertilizer and Soil Health Action Plan.
CIFSH works in collaboration with:
Institutional & Policy Partners: African Union Commission (AUC), AUDA-NEPAD, African Development Bank (AfDB), ECOWAS
Private Sector Partners: Pan Africa Fertilizer Association (PAFA), OCP Group
Implementing Partners: IFDC, IITA, APNI, FARA
Healthy Soil. Prosperous Farmers. Thriving Africa.
